The
SKENAR - high tech therapy from the stars
By Heather Jobbins
The SKENAR
(Self-Controlled Energo-Neuro- Adaptive Regulator), is a small,
hand-held, battery powered device that looks remarkably like
a TV remote control unit, and despite this somewhat unlikely
appearance, provides what in all probability is the best pain
relief treatment in the world.
The Skenar
was born as a result of extensive research by Russian doctors
and scientists involved in the Russian space programme over
20 years ago.
Now a
standard piece of medical equipment in various parts of Russia,
the Skenar has been subject to meticulous research and evolvement
based on over 20 years of clinical practice.
In Britain
the Skenar has been scrupulously examined by the British Standards
Institution and awarded the CE safety mark for use as a pain
relief device.
So,
how does it work?
Well, the human body has a remarkable capacity to heal itself
- a capacity which most of us seem to have lost. We become
accustomed to pain, disease and discomfort - we learn to 'live
with it', or we simply rely on toxic drugs to mask the effects
of the deeper cause of our health problems. As a result, our
brains don't receive the 'red alert' signals from the body
that something is wrong, and therefore have very little incentive
to stimulate our innate self-healing capabilities - so the
pain continues and the problems causing the pain continue.
Enter
the Skenar - this small device which is so technologically
complicated and yet, paradoxically, relatively straightforward
to use, sends constantly varying electric impulses to the
brain, which in turn triggers a remarkably complex chain of
reaction.
The brain
is stimulated into instructing the nervous system to generate
neuropeptides. These are co-neurotransmitters - biochemical
compounds that are vital elements in the body's entire nervous
functioning. With the release of neuropeptides, the body is
given the means with which to reduce and/or remove pain, stimulate
the immune system, and allow the healing process to take place.
Successful
results cover virtually the whole spectrum of human dis-ease
- respiratory, digestive, skin, musculo-skeletal and urinary
systems, to name but a few. Commonplace ailments such as arthritis,
bronchitis, sciatica, gastric problems, sports injuries, sprains,
tendon and ligament damage, tennis elbow, and so on, invariably
respond well to Skenar treatment.
Although
it has derived from space-age technology, the Skenar can be
used with great success in conjunction with age-old therapies
such as Reflexology, Massage, Aromatherapy and Homoeopathy,
helping to create a rewarding, holistic therapy session.
