It's
raining oils!
Probably
the nicest way to spend an hour would be on a massage couch.
In an ideal world we should all start or finish the day with
this therapeutic activity, but sadly it is still looked upon
as one of life's luxuries.
Heather
Jobbins, a more than qualified natural healing practitioner
offers a wide range of treatments from Indian Head and Shoulder
massage, Reflexology, Kinesiology, Reiki, Shiatsu massage
and Skenar Therapy to Raindrop Therapy. Well it was the Raindrop
Therapy that drew me, so Heather invited me to sample an hour
of Raindrop to ease my stress and aches and pains.
Raindrop
Therapy is a Heather 'special'.
Using up to 9 carefully selected and blended essential oils
chosen for their anti viral and healing qualities, she gradually
introduces each in turn in order to balance the body and help
realign the electrical energies in the body, and so help build
up the immune system. The raindrop part merely describes the
administering of the oils - dropping onto the spine like raindrops.
The oils
are dropped onto the back, one at a time with each being massaged
into the spine, opening the chakras to receive this wonderful
treatment. With each oil carrying it's own unique healing
property, the body is bombarded with signals through the central
nervous system and so can start the healing process.
The next
most important process is also the most relaxing. After all
the oils have been applied, Heather then wraps you in hot,
damp towels, which act to accelerate the absorption of the
oils into the spine and nervous system. These oils travel
through the body and help to rid the system of viruses that
can be lodged in the spine for years.
This was probably one of the nicest hours I have spent in
my life. I would recommend this therapy to anyone whether
you require help with a health issue or purely for the sheer
self-pampering that we all owe to ourselves.
