Indigestion - What is nature's solution?

Mr Marsden of Fife is a sales representative selling products to small bakeries - "I have, over the years, suffered from indigestion which at times has been severe"he says "my customers are of a generous nature and I find it difficult to turn down their offers of scones, pastries and other delicacies. The problem is that inevitably this leads on to severe bouts of indigestion - usually at night. I frequently have to get up to consume various over the counter remedies, the use of which is of limited benefit. I wake up feeling tired and lacking in energy.

A friend of mine suggested that I try a product called Easigest from Linpharma Herbal Products - a herbal tincture containing Fennel, Caraway and Yellow Gentian. Being sceptical about natural remedies I was astonished at how quickly after taking Easigest it worked and that the effect lasted longer than any of the tablets I had used in the past.

I need now only take a dose of Easigest before going to bed and the effect is immediate and long lasting. The result of this is that I now get a good nights sleep and am troubled much less by indigestion.

How does Easigest work?

FENNEL

Chewing fennel seeds after a meal freshens the breath and helps expel gas by relaxing the muscles in the digestive system.

Its main medicinal use is for dyspeptic complaints such as mild, spasmodic gastro-intestinal complaints, bloating and flatulence. The effectiveness of fennel is probably due to its antispasmodic properties and its ability to increase stomach motility, thereby increasing the rate at which the stomach empties and alleviating pain due to spasm. It may also have mild anti-inflammatory properties.

CARAWAY The greatest benefit of Caraway oil lies in its calming and soothing effect on the nerves and the digestive system. Components of the essential oils stimulate the gastric mucosa, which in turn stimulates the stomach tone and rhythmic contraction. The results of this are excellent for bloating and also flatulence. It is for this reason that Caraway is extensively used for colic in infants and may be useful in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Caraway is also associated with sharp eyesight and sweet breath.

GENTIAN

Yellow Gentian is excellent for improving appetite and digestion, and also for strengthening the activity of the stomach. Gentian has been shown in pharmacological and clinical studies to stimulate gastric secretion therefore acting as a digestive stimulant. This makes it an ideal herb to use in combination with herbs with anti-spasmodic properties as it stimulates a healthy digestive process.

Easigest herbal tincture contains Yellow Gentian, Fennel and Caraway - a carefully selected combination of herbs blended to help a healthy digestive process. A 50ml supply costs just £6.95.
